Alpha: 9.4%  |  Beta: 7.0 - 9.0%

HBC 472 is a dual purpose variety still in experimental phase.

Pedigree: Bred by Hop Breeding Company through open pollination of a wild American hop, subspecies neomexicanus

Brewing Usage: Dual Purpose

Aroma: Unique aroma profile consisting of floral, wood, earth and coconut characteristics. When hopped aggressively in IPA style beers, citrus and grapefruit aromas emerge, along with a distinct whiskey/bourbon and coconut character in the background. These characteristics are especially evident in darker, malt-forward beers.

Typical Beer Styles: HBC 472 lends itself well to full flavor beer styles such as pale ales, IPAs, porters, stouts and barrel-aged beers.

Additional Information: HBC 472 has a higher-than-usual Caryophyllene content that comprises about 30% of total oils.

SPOT DISCOUNTS
From time to time we have various specialty hops in inventory. In an effort to build relationships, we offer contracted buyers first priority on specialty hops and a $1 per lb discount from spot pricing.

QUALITY GUARANTEE
All forward contracted hops are tested for alpha, beta, HSI and a full oil profile. The test results will be provided to customers. Michigan Hop Alliance stands by the quality of our hops and will refund or replace all hops that don’t meet generally accepting brewing quality standards.

All hops are packaged in oxygen purged, vacuum sealed bags and stored frozen until they are delivered. Shipping fees are paid by the buyer unless otherwise agreed upon. For contracted orders, a minimum of 25% of the order must be delivered per quarter.
