Cryo Hops provide brewers with the ability to get massive hop character while dropping astringent and unpleasant vegetal flavors. With a noticeably higher oil and resin content, Mosaic® Cryo Lupulin Powder keeps all the flavor and aroma of a heavily hopped beer, but with an expressively reduced grassy character. Furthermore, the lower rate of the concentrated pellet reduces the volume of trub and therefore, kettle loss. Using Cryo Hops you will net more beer!
Normal usage of Cryo powder would be about 50% of standard T-90 pellets. It is suggested that you use Cryo Hops in late additions, in the whirlpool or dry hop, as the aromatics will be driven off if added early in the boil.
Cryo Hops are an innovative hop product that is made by separating the lupulin from the hop flower vegetative matter using cryogenic processing.
Note: these lupulin powder bags are oversized and shipping is a bit more than pellets.
These work best with a recirculation-type dry hopping procedure. The powder has a tendency to float.
From time to time we have various specialty hops in inventory. In an effort to build relationships, we offer contracted buyers first priority on specialty hops and a $1 per lb discount from spot pricing.
All forward contracted hops are tested for alpha, beta, HSI and a full oil profile. The test results will be provided to customers. Michigan Hop Alliance stands by the quality of our hops and will refund or replace all hops that don’t meet generally accepting brewing quality standards.
STORAGE / DELIVERY
All hops are packaged in oxygen purged, vacuum sealed bags and stored frozen until they are delivered. Shipping fees are paid by the buyer unless otherwise agreed upon.
